We support the sales of our partner’s products through our global network of professional technology sales and marketing entities. Our sale doesn't’t end with the delivery!

The Built Environment is a core focus for Sunshine. We focus on the Access Control Sector and Asset Tracking and Management from keeping the Asset Register up to date through to logical security and theft prevention of assets. Our focus lies on the facilitation of identification technology solutions that will drive the uptake of Smart Card, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and biometric products in an expanding marketplace, backed with outstanding technical support and exceptional client service.

Cutting Edge is a 50% Shareholder in Sunshine Technologies and the Post Production entity behind some of Australia’s biggest name television shows, movies and advertisements. Cutting Edge was awarded Winner 2003 Queensland Exporter of the Year - Arts & Entertainment Winner 2003 Australian Exporter of the Year - Arts & Entertainment. Cutting Edge brings a new sense of vision, stability and creativity to Sunshine Technologies and an enormous array of technical understanding and capability.

Scott Austin is the Principal and founder of Sunshine Technologies. Scott has extensive Business and Management Experience gained from working in varied roles for companies around the world. From 1992 – 1996 Scott lived and worked in Switzerland where he built the market in Central and Eastern European for an American Mechanical Engineering product manufacturer. Scott is also a founding Partner in Fastcards Pty Ltd. a web based application that enables the production of photo ID cards and encoding of access control cards and was formerly Managing Director of one of NSW’s leading Data Capture companies.

Scott established a German Company’s operations here in Australia focusing on sales of Contact and Contactless Smart Card components and accessories. Sales included memory through to Microprocessor products and operating systems and one of Australia’s biggest suppliers of Philips and Infineon products including Mifare products – reader ic’s, chip modules, inlets, readers, cards and tags.

The Team at Sunshine is focused on the highest level of customer service and going that extra mile to deliver!

John Lee After working in the television industry for ten years, John Lee decided to leave Channel 9 in 1985 to establish his own business.  Now, 21 years later John, and his fellow three Directors of Cutting Edge have grown the business to be Australia’s largest privately owned post production company.  Cutting Edge employs nearly 120 full-time staff in their Brisbane, Sydney and Darwin facilities and the company is well respected in the national and international arena for their post production of television commercials, television series and feature films.

Cutting Edge was recently the winner of the 2003 Queensland Exporter of the Year in the Arts & Entertainment category and then went on to win the National 2003 Australian Exporter of the Year in the same category. This is a testament to John and his team’s success with promoting Queensland and Australia as one of the world’s premier production and post production locations.

John has also been a finalist in Queensland’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in 2002 and again this year in 2004

Michael Burton's experience in broadcast television is vast and difficult to quantify.  As a Senior Director/Producer for the Nine network, Michael’s credits include a host of national programs.  Combine this with an unequalled knowledge of computer systems and an in-depth understanding of absolutely every facet of post production and you have an invincible insurance policy in the technical output of Cutting Edge.

Michael is the ultimate team player galvanizing technical and creative alike to help provide the perfect end product.

 John Leerberg and Scott have worked together for years on a Customer / Supplier basis where John was designing and deployment contactless smart card systems up in Darwin. John has the formal qualifications of Bachelor of Science (maj. Computer Science) and Bachelor or Electronic / Electrical Engineering (Hons). He also has a Certificate in Micro Controller Training Program and a strong background and training in EMC compliance. On this project, John will provide the smart card programming expertise and Hardware integration deployment. John is fluent in Danish and has a broad experience range to support him in deploying your project successfully – not too mention, he has the right work ethic!

 Stef Dunn has worked closely with Scott on deployment of an Asset Management system he wrote using RFID Smart Labels and tags.Stef is among Australia’s most accomplished and respected Software and Multimedia developers. He is a recognized expert in all aspects of software design and production and has an enviable reputation for delivering quality, innovative and robust software products that are extremely user-focused.

 

Neil Smith brings technical and IT knowledge to the team. While living in South Africa he was highly involved in the development of 3G mobile phones and hi frequency wireless internet networks. Its this High level RF knowledge coupled with his IT skills that make him an important part of Sunshine Technologies.

 

 

Caroline Charles is a Cutting Edge star that we support the communications and administration of Sunshine Technologies. This includes arranging specific sales and marketing collateral and functions and general support of the organization.

 

 

Nerida Kelton will act as an outsourced PR person ensuring Sunshine is in the customers eye in order to be considered for work. Nerida will further cement our position as leaders in RFID.
