HOSPITAL AND HEALTH – Health and Life Science Applications are prime applications for RFID as enhancements to chain of custody, patient management and traceability can be achieved with Health and Life Science applications such as Pathology and Forensics. Sunshine Technologies has formed a joint venture company with Gribbles Molecular Science focusing on the combination of RFID with Genetic Data such as DNA. Id-DNA www.id-dna.com.au has deployed the world’s first forensics laboratory using the RFID through the  id-DNA iLims Chain of Custody solution. This solution is currently being implemented to work within existing LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) or as a stand alone solution. The combination of RFID and Genetics has potentially huge ramifications for how society traces and recalls food products, human and food identification processes.

CONSULTANCY - Scott Austin is well known in the Australian Smart Card and RFID Industry and is a regular speaker / presenter at Industry functions / events. Sunshine Technologies is well known and respected in the industry and sits on various industry committees and boards.
